Partly Facetious: That's a chicken and egg thing
"An overkill for a political nonentity I say."
"Right and the non-entity has no representation in the country's assemblies supported by another non-entity Chaudhary Shujaat with 2 seats in the national assembly and the one man party of Sheikh Rashid..."
"Ah but Tahirul Qadri did not want to be part of the flawed electoral process..."
"Then shouldn't he have at least put up candidates for the elections and then claimed rigging?"
"In Pakistani politics that's a chicken and egg thing."
"What do you mean?"
"Do we participate in elections in which we know we will not be able to win a single seat and then claim rigging (the egg stage) or spend money in electioneering and in the event of defeat claim rigging?"
"So Qadri is the egg and Imran Khan is the chicken."
"How so?"
"Imran participated in the elections and then complained of large scale rigging by the Sharif brothers in Punjab, the province that gave the party enough seats in the national assembly to form a government, so that's a full blown chicken while Qadri's egg is yet to be hatched if you know what I mean."
"You are being facetious."
"Indeed but I heard something about Mian sahib over the weekend namely that he has learned lessons from his past mistakes."
"OK but before you do the usual and complain that Zardari sahib hasn't, let me tell you that Zardari sahib ruled for five years, OK he delegated some important subjects to the establishment and then there was the reconciliation policy that kind of tied his hands in some cities but lets be honest this was the first time Zardari sahib was in power - previously it was his wife who wielded power so he did not have a past to learn lessons from."
"Yes but to divert an entire plane, with other passengers, to Lahore..."
"Reminds you of Musharraf's return flight from Sri Lanka on 12 October 2008 doesn't it?"
"Well yes and that is the lesson Mian sahib has learned - to make the same mistake again just to prove that it was not a mistake the first time around. Though granted that you can't compare Musharraf in his hey day with Qadri."
"But Qadri has followers willing to go to great lengths and..."
"Yes he has street power but surely there is a better way to deal with street power."
"Well if you know then let PML-N know and then of course there is the matter of whether anyone is listening in that party."
